I’ve had the honor of being asked to be one of the 3 chosen photographers to speak at Seniorologie Texas Tour!! The official dates and details were announced a couple of nights ago so now I can spill the beans! I was very excited when I received the email from Leslie (the girl behind Seniorologie) ..and humbled to have this opportunity and really looking forward to meeting tons of new friends and photographers. :)

A little more info about the workshop tour.. (taken directly from the Seniorologie website):

The Seniorologie Tour is a workshop dedicated to the study of senior portrait photography. If you have ever wanted to learn the ins and outs of senior portrait photography from some of the top senior portrait photographers, this is the workshop for you!! This workshop is two days full of information from senior portrait photographers Amii Wroblewski, Tara Swain, Courtney DeLaura and Leslie Kerrigan. They will each share their specific strengths and share with you things such as how to interact with seniors, posing tips, social media techniques, marketing and much more!

The workshop will include learning from these speakers and practicing what you learned with styled photo shoots! These photo shoots will give you a chance to experiment with different lighting situations, posing and more. You will be able to put to use the things you learn from these amazing photographers while you are at the workshop and even get some one-on-one instruction as you shoot!

The Texas Seniorologie Tour will be held at the beautiful Nylo Hotel in Plano, Texas. The Resort has plenty of beautiful places for our scheduled photo shoots, spacious meeting spaces for the learning portion and stunning accommodations for each attendee.

There are only a limited number of seats available so make sure you grab a spot before they fill up! All you have to do to reserve a seat is put down a non-refundable retainer of $200 by June 1st!! I’m so in love with every aspect of this session. First off, Miss Cambria is too sweet for words. Her mama did SUCH a good job of picking out her outfits for her session and we had a LOT of fun. :) I narrowed it down as much as possible.. ;) but it’s still a huge post. Here are a FEW favorites.

I traveled to Dallas a few weeks ago to shoot Liz and Ben’s beautiful wedding at the Old Red Museum! Wendy of Birds of a Feather did a fantastic job at all of the details and everything came together beautifully. Liz looked like an old Hollywood movie star! A few favorites from their wedding..

Family

I photographed Brittany and CJ’s wedding a couple of years ago! Well a couple of weeks ago I went back out to their home and we did a big family shoot with some extended family! It was warm so the smallest members of the family cooled off with pop cycles and a lawn sprinkler afterward. ;)

Clancy turns 1

Clancy is turning 1 year old!! Hard to believe that it was just a year ago that I was photographing him as a newborn. His sweet mom and dad brought him to see me a couple of weeks ago. He’s gotten so big. He was such a ham at his session.. grinning and being silly.. and wanting to get into everything.. especially the dirt!! Maggie Mae

OFFICIALLY introducing sweet Miss Maggie Mae. I’ve been looking forward to this little girls newborn session for sometime now. I think this was the first time I’ve ever not used a single one of MY own headbands. For those of you who don’t know Tab.. Maggie Mae’s bow collection is already in the triple digits. Tab has been buying bows from day 1 that she found out that she was pregnant with a little girl. She was even doing a little Etsy shopping while she was IN LABOR at the hospital. ;) I’m so in love with SO many images from this session. Mags is so beautiful.. and her mama has pretty awesome taste. ;)

Lauren and Avery

It’s safe to say that this was one of my favorite sessions.. of all time. I love the love in this session.. and between this beautiful mama and her precious little girl. Miss Avery made me laugh so much. She is such a smart, independent little thing and we made fast friends. Lauren told me that Avery is definitely a Daddy’s girl.. but she has mama’s taste and still loves to be girly. This was a session for just these 2 girls. A session to document this exact time in their lives and how big of a personality this little girl already has. When Lauren contacted me last year and we started planning the session, I could not wait.. I knew it would be SO much fun.. and it did not disappoint. A few favorites from this session..

Gary+Ashley+Amelia+Morgan

If you are a blog stalker then you’ve seen this family many times… however this is their first family session as a new family of 4! :) I’ve photographed Gary and Ashley from Engagement session to wedding.. through Amelia’s whole 1st year and I’m currently photographing Mr. Morgan’s first year! I love this little family and always enjoy getting to work with them. They recently moved and I met up with them at their new home about a week and a half ago for their first family session with Morgan! We hung out at the park just down the road. It was a beautiful day and their “first child” Blue even tagged along for some family photos. :) A few favorites from their session….

Maggie Mae’s Birth

I can’t begin to tell you how much this little girl is loved. The emotions in that delivery room were unbelievable. The look on Tab’s face the first time she saw her little girl… was incredible. Tabitha has longed for this little girl and to finally be able to hold her in her arms was an indescribable feeling.. and it was amazing to witness. Tab just kept saying.. “I just can’t believe it. I can’t believe she’s here!” Miss Maggie is perfect.. absolutely 110% perfect. She did give us a little scare in the hospital room when she wouldn’t cry but she was fine! She was so calm and so content just being held by her mama. She knew her voice and she loved her already as well. I’ll never forget the look on Tabitha’s face when she first saw Maggie Mae.. and I’ll never forget the look on Craig’s face when HE first held his baby girl. I can safely say that they are going to be in trouble.. because she already has daddy wrapped around her little finger. :)

Cassie + Jason – Yantis, Texas Wedding

Cassie and Jason were married a couple of weeks ago at Hidden Lakes Hunting Resort in Yantis, Texas. Cassie made a gorgeous bride and everything about the wedding was beautiful.

Little Dreamers did an awesome job with the flower girl dress and as always Tiffany P (Smokin’ Hot Makeup) did a phenomenal job on the makeup for the entire wedding party! Cassie’s hair by Ashley Smith. I also enjoyed working with Marc Roberts Videography for the first time, and can’t wait to see the sneak peeks he puts up from their wedding day.

Congrats again Cassie and Jason!!
