Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Paris, Texas. I love bright colors, a vintage, eclectic feel and whimsical ideas. My passions are weddings and child photography. My favorite color is green, my favorite movie is "The Man in the Moon," I'm NOT a morning person, I've been happily married for 6 years with a beautiful 1 year old little girl and I love to blog!!

When Jessica and I first started talking about ideas for her engagement and bridal sessions everything just seemed to click. I’m SO very excited for Jessica’s bridals and their wedding day. She’s shown me some of the details already and it is going to be AMAZING! I always say I love when I get clients with red hair because it just seems to pop. :) Jessica looked amazing.. (and thank you to Tiffany P for the amazing job she did as always!) We really wanted to showcase Chris and Jessica’s style… and I think we really captured that. Jessica describes she and Chris as “Darma and Greg.” (You’ll see that in the 2nd half of these. ;)

Scrabble and why I love my clients.

I met Bonnie and Denman last year at Bonny Jo and Joshua’s amazing wedding. While we were taking the wedding party pictures Bonny Jo and Joshua asked if I would take a quick picture of Denman with his girlfriend Bonnie! Little did I know the following year I would get an email from Bonnie asking me to be THEIR wedding photographer. (..and if I remember correctly, I think it was the DAY they got engaged that she contacted me!) I already knew that I was going to absolutely LOVE working with these two. Well they didn’t disappoint. I had such a blast with these 2. These are just a FEW of my favorites from their engagement session!! :)

Thank you AGAIN to the amazing Tiffany P. for a gorgeous job on Bonnie’s hair and makeup!!

Needless to say I have a lot of favorites.. but this is definitely the top 3. :)

ANNDD last but not least.. we came across this little gem of a spot by accident. What started out just as a joke ended up being some of my favorite images from the session. :) Who else but Bonnie and Denman could rock a back drop of old toilets? AND the fearlessness (or just blind trust) of my AMAZING clients.. is why I love them SOO much. :D CAN’T wait for your wedding, guys!!!!

Bonnie McClure: I absolutely love our session! I love everything about our pictures and I am so happy with the way the turned out. It's funny how you told us to do some "awkward" poses (leaning forward, sitting indian style and crossing arms, walk slowly in circles) but those are some of my favorites. Just goes to show that you truly know what you're doing, and know how to get those amazing shots to create amazing memories!

Oh, and those last few, I decided will be framed and hung in the bathroom! haha

I must have checked your blog every 10 minutes until they were posted, and I still find myself coming back every 10 minutes. :)

Joshua: Oh, Tara. How many times do I have to tell you how great you are? These pictures are, I am sure you are shocked to hear me say, amazing. The ones of them spinning in the field remind me of "Days of Heaven." If you haven't seen it, you can't appreciate how big of a compliment that is. It's a fairly older movie starring a very young Richard Gere. It has some of the best cinematography EVER and won an Academy Award for it. I love the Scrabble pictures. That was a very creative idea, even though these two suck at Scrabble and should stick to Words With Friends with its lame rules. Bonnie looks smoking hott-gorgeous-beautiful in these pictures and Denman looks like a tasty-delicious-yummy stud. Great work. I can't wait to see the wedding! (21.02.11, 03:54PM)
