God has truly blessed me with the opportunity to do what I love! I love to be different and I’m constantly thinking of new creative ideas and concepts for sessions. My images are fresh, happy and filled with emotion. Wedding and newborn/child photography are my true passions. My style is crazy, fun, happy, whimsical, eclectic, bold and creative. I’m inspired by things vintage, funky and fun.
I’ve had a camera in my hands for the majority of my life. It started when I was 8 years old and although I never anticipated it as a career, I started my business at the age of 20, after I began getting requests for portrait sessions. Now my life is crazy, hectic and super busy, but I love it. I’m amazed how God has placed me right where I need to be and allowed me to do this.. everyday.
I was born in Henderson, Texas. I grew up on a farm, and my grandparents owned a dairy. We moved to Paris when I was 15, where I later met my wonderful husband. We were married on August 20, 2005 and we welcomed a baby girl (Briley Grace) into our little family, on December 22, 2009. Our “first child” is our Chocolate Dapple Mini Dachshund, Opossum, who was born on July 29, 2005!
Random facts… I am scatter brained. I make lists. I laugh loud and I laugh often- you’ve been warned. My family calls me “T” or “Burtie.” When I was little I wanted to be a “cow doctor” and an artist. My favorite color is green. Best dessert ever created.. Black Forest Cheesecake from Capizzi’s. The word “pet peeve” is one of my pet peeves! I am a night owl. I can’t allow the food on my plate to touch. I LOVE Johnny Cash. “Crazy,” by Patsy Cline is my all time favorite song. In scary movies I cover my ears, not my eyes. I love to travel but I hate to drive. My first word was “dogfood.” (No joke.) I hate chickens. I can’t whistle and that makes me mad. I am NOT a morning person. I am a bit OCD at times. I am a tom boy. I am a Christian. I am easily amused. I am a big time animal lover. I am a photographer. :)
